The Salesforce Implementation and IoT SaaS company is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
For 3,650 days and counting, Bolt Data has helped companies give their data the power to speak through their end-to-end solutions that help enterprise organizations solve complex field service challenges.
The innovative company’s story began in 2013 when Chris Hurd followed his entrepreneurial instincts and paired them with his belief he could serve customers in a different, personal way.
With support from his team and the addition of Rob Meredith, the current Chief Executive Officer and Chairman in 2014, Hurd continued to execute his vision to deliver more tailored and innovative service solutions.
What started out as a consulting business has evolved into a company that’s an official Salesforce partner and works with the world’s best service organizations to transform service operations, empower service professionals and make connected assets visible and intelligent.
“Before starting Bolt Data, I was working at another company and I just knew I could create something worth building,” said Chris Hurd, Director of Technology & Senior Technical Architect. “In the beginning, there were only three of us and it’s truly amazing to see how we’ve grown over the last 10 years.”
Bolt Data is 100 percent employee-owned and has grown steadily and organically over the past decade. COVID-era aside, Bolt Data has experienced 50% year-over-year growth since 2014.
Growth in all ways is a common thread that runs through Bolt Data. And with the need to transcend its consulting model, Bolt Data introduced Bolt Data Connect.
“We noticed there was a disconnect between companies and their assets which encouraged break-fix, reactive service,” said Meredith. “So, we connected the dots and created Bolt Data Connect to deliver real-time actionable data from IoT-connected assets to field service operations and IT teams.”
This novel, breakthrough software product was the topic of Bolt Data’s winning demonstration in this year’s Salesforce AppExchange Demo Jam.
In addition to providing its customers with innovative software products and services, Bolt Data is giving back to the communities its employees reside in through the creation of its employee-led give-back program, Bolt Data Better Together.
