In the spirit of community welfare, Bolt Data's employee-driven enrichment program, Better Together, embarked on its latest initiative this month to support local, no-kill animal shelters through a supply drive. Better Together is founded on the belief that, by coming together, we can have an incredible impact on our local communities.
Two Shelters, One Goal
With a determination to maximize impact, the supply drive supported two deserving shelters: Wayside Waifs in Kansas City, MO, and LifeLine Animal Project in Atlanta, GA. These shelters share an unwavering commitment to safeguarding and nurturing the well-being of animals.
About Wayside Waifs
For over 70 years, Wayside Waifs has stood as a sanctuary, offering refuge to nearly 6,000 abandoned, abused and homeless pets annually. As the largest no-kill pet adoption campus in Kansas City, the organization successfully places approximately 5,400 animals into loving homes each year.
About LifeLine Animal Project
LifeLine Animal Project is the largest animal welfare organization in Georgia. It also manages Fulton and DeKalb County Animal shelters, in addition to providing crucial enforcement services for Fulton County. In 2022 alone, LifeLine Animal Project facilitated the adoption of 9,799 pets into loving homes.

Wayside Waifs
In the span of just two weeks, Better Together received an incredible amount of support from Bolt Data team members that donated items from wishlists of both shelters. Donations included essentials ranging from collars, toys and pet food to kitten formula, treats, cozy blankets and soap.
"Seeing everyone chip in proves that positive change really starts with coming together,” shares Eileen Skouby, member of Better Together. “When I delivered the donations to Wayside Waifs, they were so thankful and delighted to receive the supplies. I encourage everyone to take a few minutes and make a virtual donation to your local animal shelter – it's easy, and they could really use the help.”
The Better Together initiative aims to show that every individual has the power to make a difference. Just as we demonstrated in a similar supply drive for Toys for Tots, our actions, no matter how small, can contribute to a larger purpose. By fostering a sense of unity among our Bolt Data team members, we continue to amplify the reach of our impact.
