Solution Architect
Role Overview:
The Solution Architect is responsible for partnering with our clients and delivery teams to define, develop, and implement business solutions. The architect may operate as a project resource to a client delivery team, as a project resource on Bolt Data delivery team, or as a primary delivery resource accountable for end-to-end solution delivery. Once development begins, the Solution Architect’s involvement will include a combination of hands-on configuration and oversight of work assigned to other team members and will continue throughout the build and testing phases to ensure the solution comes together as designed. The Solution Architect is self-directed, can work with limited management direction and will exercise considerable judgment in determining technical objectives of an assignment.
Role Responsibilities:
Functional project support:
- Facilitate/lead workshops to define functional requirements and solution design, providing industry best practice guidance and ensuring the proposed solution is scalable, maintainable, and meets business requirements
- Document requirements for system configurations and technology development
- Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality
- Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions
- Manage scope change by recognizing when requests are outside established scope/requirements and work with the Project Manager to handle the requests properly
- Transition requirements for system configurations and technology development with delivery teams, ensuring a complete and clear understanding of the requirements
- Lead solution deployment activities and confirm business acceptance of delivered solution
- Support delivery activities including system configuration, testing, end-user training, and data mapping
- Document final solution and lead knowledge transfer to client support team
- Know and understand the customer industry; learn the customer people processes, use cases, business goals, and technology profile of the company
- Establish effective working relationships with key client and project team stakeholders
- Communicate and manage expectations regarding delivery updates, risks, issues, and opportunities with key stakeholders
- Liaise between clients, delivery teams (including vendors) to drive delivery performance, manage risks, and remove barriers
- Hold internal demos on configuration from other delivery teams to confirm that requirements are met, and the user experience is acceptable
- Follow and understand new Salesforce product and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions
- Work with a Technical Architect to refine the design and assist with coding and integration requirements and delivery
- Project management skills with the ability to manage issues and client engagement when Project Manager is not available
Bolt Data consulting practice support:
- Work within the Bolt Data Methodology for consistent and reliable delivery
- Participate in internal teams for design document reviews
- Support Bolt Data practice maturation and internal initiatives as required
- Develop the organization by achieving and maintaining personal development goals including Salesforce certifications and Trailhead Badges and vendor certifications
- Support Bolt Data Sales activities by reviewing Statement of Work scope and level of effort estimates

Required Skills/Experience:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
- Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant certification
- Solution implementation experience with Customer Relationship Management solutions
- Demonstrated Salesforce configuration skills, including Flows, Process Builders, Approval Process and Security Controls
- Familiarity with the following technologies/code languages: Apex, HTML, CSS, Javascript
- 7 years experience with software delivery lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile) and project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK) with the ability to manage multiple projects to aggressive timelines
- 5 years of hands-on design and deployment experience in Salesforce with assistance in coding and integration requirements and delivery.
- 3 years Field Service experience, including customer service management and call center support
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally with client and project team as needed. Passport with up to 25% travel.
Bonus Skills/Experience:
- Prior ServiceMax implementation experience and certifications
- Salesforce Field Service Consultant certification
- Master’s degree in business, technology, or 8 years equivalent experience
- Familiarity with the following integration technologies: Boomi, Jitterbit, Mulesoft
